ACES presents ‘Big Bad’

A familiar villain will take center stage and face judgment as the Adair County Elementary School Players take the stage in their upcoming performance of “Big Bad.”
The Big Bad Wolf is on trial for his alleged wrongdoings to well-known storybook characters, and a jury is needed to decide his fate.
This is no ordinary trial. The audience will be the jury and decide the wolf’s guilt or innocence. That decision determines how the play ends.
The production, under the direction of Kayla Koerner and Lindsey Taylor, consists of 14 cast members, and five crew members grades third through fifth. The students in the after-school theater program through Camp Safari began with auditions in November. They have spent months rehearsing and preparing for opening night.
“I am just excited for the opportunity to showcase the arts here and just getting young students involved in something that is so vital,” said Koerner. “It’s just been such a joy really to see them grow.”
The Adair County Elementary School Players will perform “Big Bad” for the community on Thursday, April 2 and Friday, April 3 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the gym at ACES. Admission is $5.
