For the first time in more than a decade, the Adair County Lady Indians are headed to the regional tournament after advancing to the 20th District Championship and finishing as runners-up Tuesday night.
Adair County secured its spot in the district finals with a 6-2 win over Marion County on Monday before falling 3-1 to Taylor County in the championship game Tuesday. It marks the Lady Indians’ first appearance in the district title game since 2014.

Keylin Bergin went the distance in the circle, pitching seven innings to earn the win and help send Adair County to the district finals and securing a spot in the regional tournament.
In Tuesday night’s championship game, the Lady Indians battled Taylor County in a close contest before falling 3-1.
The game was tied at 1-1 beginning the bottom of the sixth inning before Taylor County scored two runs to take the lead and secure the district title.
