A recently published book, Biblestones Show the Way, by Yvonne Kolbenschlag, is now available at our library.   It is written in easy-to-read format, with some illustrations.
According to the Bible, Jesus once said, “If I remain silent, the stones will cry out.”
The Bible’s numerous stone stories are told in this book in chronological order.  Readers will learn how “Bible people” coped with situations throughout many years.
Also, there are significant inscribed historic stones now in museums that existed during ‘Bible times.’  These are pictured and described in the book. The book includes listing of names and their meanings and pages of definitions to clarify Bible happenings.
Columbia United Methodist pastor, Ryan Boatright, wrote: “In a time when we are inundated with the origin stories of our favorite superheroes, it is refreshing to reread or read for the first time moments within our own origin story, as a people of faith…The book points us to those beacons that have helped shape our faith journey, not as a destination, but as a stop that beckons us on to something greater and more transformational.”
Page Publisher, publishers of the book wrote: “This book highlights the physical and symbolic importance of the earliest Biblical stories, inviting readers to deepen their understanding of Scripture and its profound, timeless messages.”
This book can be ordered from Amazon or Thriftbooks.  It is at Barnes and Nobel bookstores and available as an instant digital eBook on platforms like Booktopia.  It is accessible in Kindle format on Amazon or other major digital book retailers.
