A Russell County teenager had died in a two-vehicle collision in Adair County.
Family members have confirmed online that Natalie Wilson, 17, was the victim in the crash that occurred on KY 206 in Adair County on Friday morning.
Kentucky State Police was called to investigate the accident around 10:30 a.m. According to a preliminary investigation by KSP, Wilson was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox and traveled acrss the centerline into the eastbound lane, striking a 2007 Terex C13 concrete truck head on. The driver of the truck, Curtis Bell, 22, of Columbia, was not injured. Wilson was transported to T.J. Health Columbia, where she was pronounced deceased by the Adair County Coroner's office.
Air Evac responded to the scene and emergency personnel assisted Adair EMS en route to T.J. Health Columbia. The Adair County Sheriff's Office, Adair County Fire Department, Adair County Coroner’s Office and the Kentucky State Highway Department all provided assistance. Senior Trooper Dean Lunz is investigating the collision.
