With the upcoming primary election, campaign signs are being placed around Adair County. Roy says he has received several calls about the placement of signs.
Signs are prohibited on any state highway or county road right of way. This includes medians, shoulders and utility poles. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet or Adair County Road Department will remove any signs improperly placed and take them to their locations on Service Road.
Seek permission before placing signs on private property and ensure they do not block driver’s view or create a hazard. The owner can legally remove any signs on their property.
