Synergy Food Group, LLC is expected to vacate city-owned property located at 100 Majestic Way by May 1, according to Mayor Pamela Hoots.
Hoots reported in a press release that several companies have shown interest in obtaining the property for business or manufacturing use once it becomes available.
Synergy Food Group had defaulted in making monthly payments to the city as part of a lease agreement, and the city council approved action in January to have the company removed from the property.
The city received a $1 million grant and $500,000 loan to purchase the property.
Hoots said she will be in contact with potential business or industry during the next few weeks that is interested in the property. She said the city is working with the Lake Cumberland Area Development District and local legal counsel as they work to sell or lease the property.
