Jade Antle, an eighth-grade wrester, made history for Adair County on Sunday by placing fourth at the state tournament.
Three Adair County girl wrestlers competed in the Kentucky Federation of Women’s Clubs Girls Middle School and Youth State Tournament. Kinley Popplewell was 0-2 and Charisma Kunkel was 1-2. Antle finished with a fourth-place overall win.
“She made the program proud, not because of her results, but because she continues to show up every single day and put in the work that it takes,” said Head Coach Abe Cross. “This was a hard earned accomplishment, and Jade has set the bar for the rest of us.”
