Danny Kay Bottoms, 76, of Russell Springs passed away September 20, 2025 at his residence. He was born on January 28, 1949to the late Chester and Della Moss Bottoms. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Corbin Bottoms; one brother, Larry Bottoms; a step-daughter, Beverly; and two great-nephews, Jeff Little and Sean Bottoms. 

Danny began his career with Kentucky Department of Corrections as an officer at the Kentucky State Reformatory. He promoted through the ranks and retired as a Captain at Northpoint Training Center. He was a member of Knifley Christian Church. 

Survivors include two sisters, Barbara Bottoms Banks (late Richard) of Columbia and Sandra Coffey (Jeter) of Russell Springs; two brothers, Michael Bottoms of Russell Springs and Samuel Bottoms (Sheryl) of Franklin, TN; his grandson, Jason Kelsay (Tiffany) of Campbellsville; his great-granddaughter, Shelby Kelsay of Broadhead; his great-grandsons, Brayden and Max of Campbellsville and Jakeb of South Korea; his great-great-grandchildren, Coe and Hadley Bowman of Broadhead; and fourteen great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Patton officiating and burial in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens in Campbellsville. Casket bearers were Terry Bryant, Jason Kelsay, Jordan Foley, Isiah Foley, Travis Bottoms, Tim Bottoms and Daniel Foley. Honorary were Shane Bottoms, David Curtsinger, Royce Oaks, Seth Bowman, Chip Little and Isaac Little.
