Earl Dean Kimbler, 68, of Columbia, died Sunday, September 7, 2025 at the home of his daughter after an illness.
He was born June 13, 1957 in Gibson City, Illinois, to the late Joe Landon and Mary Elizabeth Wilkerson Kimbler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rhoda Davis Kimbler; one brother, Billy Kimbler; and three sisters, Sharon Maholm, Joyce Conover, Judy Shanahan.
Earl worked in the oil fields for C.G. Collins for many years, farmed and was a carpenter.
Survivors include his son, Benji Kimbler (Clarissa) of Columbia; his daughter, Crystal Kimbler (Jay Johnson) of Columbia; three brothers, Donnie Kimbler, Jeff Kimbler and Ricky Kimbler all of Russell Springs; two sisters, Shelia Murphy of Columbia and Linda York of Russell Springs; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a special friend, Mark Coomer of Columbia; and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 12, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Jodi Perkins officiating and burial in Freedom Cemetery. Visitation after 11:00 a.m. Friday.
Casket Bearers will be Damon Honaker, Nicholas Honaker, Ian Johnson, Sean Johnson, Jason Wooten and Jason Morgan. Honorary casket bearers will be Jay Johnson, Ricky Kimbler, Jeff Kimbler and Johnny Burden.
