Edra Nell “Bobbie” Collins, 87, of Columbia died Friday, February 6, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Metcalfe County on February 14, 1938, to the late Edward and Millie Jane Sparks Jessee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Collins, Sr.; a son, James S. Collins, Jr.; and her siblings, Kizzie Gilpin, Arleen Jessee, Ruth Jessee Wade, Eulis Jessee, J.B. Jessee and Charles Jessee.
She was a member of Columbia Church of Christ and a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Ricky Collins (JoAnn) of Columbia, Kerry Collins (Lynda) of Campbellsville and Jeff Collins (Shannon) of Columbia; four daughters, Marsha Collins, Cynthia Collins, Sandra VanArsdale (Kenneth) all of Columbia and Judy Snider (Tom) of Edmonton; 24 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home. Hugh Gannon and Nick Pace officiated. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Andrew VanArsdale, Jonathan VanArsdale, Dylan Collins, Jason Collins, Michael Collins, and Lee Cook. Honorary casket bearers were remaining grandchildren.
