Evelyn Komosa, 102, of Columbia, died Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at her residence.
She was born August 5, 1922 in Adair County, to the late George Denney “Jack” and Edith Frances Jones Beard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Komosa on December 3, 1998 and her brother, Dennis Hamilton Beard.
Ms. Komosa was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and a former secretary at Indiana University.
She is survived by her care-givers, Janet Antle, Sheila Lynch, Heather Bow, Julie Neal and Mardi Janes.
Graveside service was held Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Cane Valley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Ms. Komosa requested that donations go to Lindsey Wilson College in her memory. These can be left at the funeral home or mailed to 210 Lindsey Wilson Street, Columbia, Kentucky 42728
