Richard Lawrence Marshall of Columbia, son of the late Joseph and Laurene Thorstein Marshall, was born on December 22, 1946, in Grand Haven, Michigan. He departed this life on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the TJ Health Columbia having attained the age of 79 years, 11 months and 11 days.
He was a United States Army veteran, having served our country honorably in the Vietnam War.
Mr. Marshall was a truck driver, farmer and member of the DAV. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping.
He was a loving husband to his wife, Cindy Marshall, of Columbia, who survives. Other survivors include seven step-children; several step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by one stepson and one step-grandchild.
A private visitation and funeral service was conducted at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg. Bro. Kenny Craig officiated. Burial on the Marshall family farm with full military honors.
