Samuel Stephen Bingham, 58, born March 1st, 1967 was an amazing man, father, pappy, son, brother, uncle, friend, and co-worker. He was dedicated to his family and to his job. He started working for Nixon Power Services in 1994 and remained with them as Senior Field Engineer up until his passing. He was incredibly intelligent and could hold a conversation on any topic. He was a builder and his hands were his tools. He was truly one of a kind and had a heart made of gold. He loved being outside doing anything, but he absolutely loved spending time doing things with his grandchildren. He was a homebody and enjoyed the smallest things in life. He always had a smile on his face and a quirky joke at the ready to tell. He had a true gift for making others laugh. He could make any bad day better with just one hug. The absence of his presence is being profoundly felt by every life he touched. Predeceased by his father-Jim Bingham.

Surviving family members include his spouse, Melissa Murphy; son, Benjamin Shillings; daughter, Brittany Combs; 8 grandchildren; mother, Judy Bingham; brother, Kirk Bingham;  sister, Tina Bingham Hartman; three half-sisters; two nephews, Sammy and Jamie;  and many other nieces and nephews.

He passed away on May 10th, 2025 from a heart attack. He was cremated on May 15th, 2025. There will be a “Celebration of Life” service to be announced at a later date.
