The Adair County High School football team traveled to Green County on Friday for a pre-season scrimmage. Adair, Green, and Gar-rard Counties each par-ticipated.
The JV team began the scrimmage playing 10 plays of offense and 10 plays of defense against Garrard County JV. The varsity team began a rotating series with both Green and Garrard County.
The pre-season scrimmages give the players the opportunity to play together as a team and the coaches learn what areas the team is strong in and what areas need improvement.
The first game of the season is Friday, August 22 at 7pm against Rus-sell County. This game will be played at Lindsey Wilson University’s Parnell Family Stadium.
Due to the turf project at Adair County’s home field, the first two home games will be played at Parnell. The Indians are looking forward to being on the new field soon.
