Adair County girls’ golf makes history with four individual state qualifiers

Adair County girls’ golf finishes the season with four individual players competing in the first round of KHSAA state tournament. This is the first time in program history that four individuals have qualified for state.
“It is very uncommon to have four individuals qualify and not be a team to place in the region, which shows our region is tough,” said Head Coach Ashley Goodin.
Ila Loy, Ashley Loy, Claire Loy and Laney Inchcliff all teed off on Monday in Calvert City. While none of the girls advanced past the first round, making it to the state tournament was a great accomplishment.
“I’m so proud of them for making it. We made history, and I’ll always remember this team. They’re very special. I’m very thankful for them, their families, and that I get to work with them,” said Goodin.
