Jessie Ella Harvey Scardigno went home to be with Jesus on August 22, 2026, at Merry Heart Assisted Living in Succasunna, New Jersey, where she lived since 2019. A resident of Parsippany, New Jersey since 1958, Jessie was born on September 2,1926 in Fairplay to Vina Reece Harvey and Holland Haskin Harvey. She was one of nine children, one went to heaven young, the other four brothers and three sisters, who she has now joined in heaven.
After growing up in Kentucky, she married Felice Scardigno and moved to New Jersey, where she raised a family.
She is survived by her daughter, Gloria and husband, Mike; her son, Stephen and wife, Laraine; granddaughter, Rachel and husband, Matthew; and three great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Liesel and Kaleb.
Her husband passed in 1970 and her first grandson, Joseph, passed in 2010.
