The middle school boys’ basketball program closed the 2025 season with three teams competing at the sixth, seventh and eighth-grade levels, highlighted by an All-Conference selection and a runner-up finish in the Central Kentucky Middle School Athletic Conference tournament.
The eighth-grade team advanced to the CKMSAC championship game and finished as tournament runners-up, posting a 15-5 record on the season. Despite battling sickness and fatigue late in the tournament, the team pushed through to the finals before falling to Russell County in the title game.
Jacob Hughes and Bentley Petty were recognized for their standout seasons, earning spots on the 2025 CKMSAC All-Conference team for eighth grade.
The seventh-grade squad reached the CKMSAC semifinals, where it was eliminated by Russell County with a 30-19 loss. The team showed steady progress throughout the season and finished among the conference’s final four.
The sixth-grade team saw its postseason run come to an end in the opening round of the CKMSAC tournament with a loss to Campbellsville, gaining valuable tournament experience for a young roster.
The program is led by Head Coach Brett Sowell, with Assistant Coach Eva Feese, as the middle school teams continue to build depth and experience heading into future seasons.
