The Adair County boys’ basketball freshman team capped its season with a district championship, earning the highest level of postseason success available for a freshman squad.
Adair County finished the season with a 7-4 record, showing steady improvement throughout the year under Coach Zack Proffitt.
“As a freshman group, this team showed a lot of growth throughout the season,” said Proffit. “Winning the district tournament is a great accomplishment, but it’s really a reflection of their work ethic, coachability and how they came together as a team.”
The district title highlights the team’s development and sets a strong foundation for future seasons in the Adair County basketball program.
The freshman team will play its final home game tonight at 6:30 p.m.
